Martha Stewart Scoreboard

I received my Martha Stewart Scoreboard from Barrie the other day, and of course had to play with it right away. I have never owned a scoreboard before now, but have used the score pal a few times at different events, and I have to say I love all of the lines on the Martha, and they way it is all laid out. It has a great envelope adaptor and boy does that make it easy. I did a video on making an envelope, and I had to really hurry through as YouTube only gives you 10 minutes of time to do it in. Hope you enjoy it, and if you have never owned a scoreboard this would be the one I would really recommend to you. And of course you can find it on our website under tools. The other little gadget that has really been great is the precision tip glue bottle... a gem!

Happy Week end to you all, and may the first day of spring bring you a fresh sense of renewal!

Our next give away

So Is everyone up for another fabulous Give away? Barrie and I have been talking about what we want to do next and I think we are going to toss out a challenge for you all. I have seen some of your blogs and I think we have some very talented people following us and we want to find a way to highlight your work. So in the next few days we will be posting the details. We hope you will all join us in this as I really think it will be fun ! Let us know what you think and if you have any ideas we would love to hear them!
We also love how you all are recomending us to your friends, and we will do a RAK once we hit 50 followers and the winner of this will be drawn from our blog page. So, get on the ball, send our link out and help us grow!

I was playing around with some canvas and this is what I did... I think I like this and will be adding some of it to our mini book kits to see what you come up with.

Make Your Own Buttons

I love making these buttons and adding them to the center of flowers or adding them to a card with just a small ribbon. We hope you will try this and let us know how you did. We would love to see some pictures of the ones you make, and how you use them on your projects. I did say on the video that these will dry in 1-2 hours, but in reality they don't dry for closer to 4-6 hours so, you may want to make them ahead of time and make sure they are dry when you need to use them.

February Already?

Ok, someone please tell me where January went!!! Is it just me or do you all feel like the older we get the faster the days go by???
Well, I have been keeping pretty busy in my craft room and I am so excited to be crafting again after what seem like a long dry spell. I guess CHA was just what I needed to get my creative mind flowing again. I was a tad bit overwhelmed to begin with, but once Barrie and I got our rythem going we did pretty good at staying focused, not buying everything that came down the pike..we wanted to though, and we got some pretty great things. I just can not wait for things to start arriving so that I can jump in with both feet and get some kits and projects done for the store!
I was amazed at the number of people at the show, and how many people I ran into that I knew. It really is a small small world.
We are delighted to have our Daughter-In-Law home from Japan for a bit, and she and our Granddaughter and getting to spend some wonderful time together and with us. It will be sad to see her go back for us, but I know that Josh is loving having her there with him, They just moved into their new home the day before she came back here, so she is anxious to go and get her new home put together, and of coure, since they are expecting their first child, they are anxious to get a nursery in the works. They have until late September, but I am sure that it will all be ready to go by June !
Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of a mini book I created using the Sizzix Scoreboard XL Die, Notebook Pocket. I had a blast with this, and can't wait to go and play with the other two dies I just got from Barrie, and of course these are for sale in the store too

Digital Stamping

I have yet to try out the digital stamping, so when copic buzz had a challenge today using this digital download (girl) I decided to give it a try. I must say it turned out pretty cute and I like the fact that you can resize the image to fit what ever project you are working on. I cut the lables out using my Silhouette, added a few Martha Stewart Snowflake punches, brads, and even ventured into embossing the design on the tags. I used my new copic markers to color in the Digital design. The girl is popped up, although you really can't see it in the picture but it added dimension to the card.
I think this could be another danger in my scrappin and stampin habbit.

Anyway, I am getting very excited to be going to CHA in California, and getting to spend time with Barrie, and to see all the new products that are being released. I am leaving my credit card at home and taking a notebook to make a wish list on and then thinking about what I really want. We are adding A Blog to Scrapadabadoo, as well as gearing up to do videos with projects and techniques so when I get back I am sure I will be jazzed up, and ready to do some creating. I hope you will visit us at
http://www.scrapadabadoo.blogspot.com/ , join in the fun, and enjoy our progress.
I will have tons of pictures of new things to post when I return on the 28th so be sure to check back and to see what will be hitting the crafting world soon.
Toodles, and think spring !!

A Day Off

Oh My.. We are 7 days into the new year and I am just now getting a day to do whatever I want. I peeked out into my craft room and yep it's still there, just waiting for me to come in, sit down and do something creative ( I do need to do a bit of cleanning out there first). I have gotten some great new Sizzix dies from Barrie, and I did use a couple of them to do a sample for the store .

These are really fun to work with and are even great to add to a scrapbook for journing spots. I am working on a 6x6 baby book and this will be fun to add to one of those pages.
I have also had a couple of minutes to play with my Silhouette and these cute little purses are so much fun. I will be cutting them out and selling them in our store at scrapadabadoo.com. I think I am going to do some pattern ones and some plain cs ones. There are a couple more purse cuts that I am also going to do..maybe even today!

I am also getting excited as Barrie is taking me with her to CHA (Craft & Hobbie Show) In California. I will leave on the 24th (very early) and return on the 28th (very late) I went a few years back when I had the store and it's so much fun. We will do some shopping for the store, and I am looking forward to doing some of the Make and Takes....I think this is just what I need to get me jazzed up again and moving.
Anyway, off to do some crafting.. I hope you have had a great start to your new year, and that you have been blessed in ways you never knew were possible. Don't forget to take time to tell those you love how much they mean to you!!
